By accessing and using the Rent Move website and vehicle rental services, you fully accept and agree to comply with the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the service.
Service Description
Rent Move provides vehicle rental services, with or without the option of future purchase, in accordance with the terms stated herein and applicable Greek law.
Acceptance of Terms
By browsing the website, making a reservation, and/or renting a vehicle, the user acknowledges and unconditionally accepts these Terms of Service, as well as the Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy.
Reservations & Payments
- All bookings are subject to vehicle availability.
- Users must provide valid personal and payment information.
- The company reserves the right to cancel any booking in the case of inaccurate details or lack of availability.
Vehicle Use
The customer must use the vehicle in accordance with Greek traffic laws, the Terms of Use, and Rent Move’s guidelines. Misuse, transporting more passengers than permitted, or participation in races is strictly prohibited.
Responsibilities
- Company: RentMove is responsible for delivering vehicles in proper working and clean condition, ensuring insurance coverage, and fulfilling all its obligations as described.
- User: The user bears full responsibility for any damage, fine, or accident occurring during the rental period.
Limitation of Liability
RentMove is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profit or data, or for delays and vehicle unavailability caused by force majeure.
Cancellations & Modifications
Cancellations and modifications are governed by the official Cancellation Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
Modifications to Terms
RentMove reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the service implies acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes shall be exclusively resolved by the competent courts of Athens, Greece.
User & Company Obligations
User Obligations
Users of the Rent Move website and services agree to the following:
- Provide accurate and truthful information when making a booking or contacting the company (e.g., name, driving license details, payment information).
- Hold a valid driving license recognized in Greece and present it at vehicle pickup.
- Be at least 23 years old and have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years (unless otherwise specified for certain vehicle categories).
- Return the vehicle to the agreed location, date, and time in the same condition and fuel level as it was delivered.
- Operate the vehicle in compliance with Greek law and traffic regulations.
- Do not allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle without written approval from Rent Move.
- Take full responsibility for any traffic violations, fines, or damages that occur during the rental period.
- Do not use the vehicle for illegal purposes, racing, or transportation of hazardous or prohibited materials.
- Notify Rent Move immediately in the event of mechanical issues, accidents, theft, or loss of the vehicle.
Company Obligations – Rent Move
Rent Move agrees to uphold the following responsibilities:
- Provide vehicles in excellent mechanical and clean condition, according to the customer’s booking or upgrade the vehicle category at no extra charge if the booked vehicle is unavailable.
- Ensure all vehicles are insured and equipped with the required documents.
- Protect customer data in accordance with GDPR and relevant privacy legislation.
- Offer roadside assistance in case of breakdown or accident, wherever possible.
- Promptly inform customers of any changes affecting their reservation (e.g., change of vehicle category or model).
- Refund eligible amounts for cancellations or booking modifications according to the official cancellation policy.
- Handle customer complaints efficiently and fairly, aiming to resolve all issues promptly.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations for Non-Prepaid Bookings
- Free cancellation: You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled vehicle pick-up time.
- Cancellation within 24 hours: If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up, a cancellation fee may apply.
Cancellations for Prepaid Bookings
- Cancellation up to 7 days in advance: Full refund with no cancellation fee.
- Cancellation between 7 days and 24 hours before: A refund will be issued minus a cancellation fee of …...
- Cancellation within 24 hours before pick-up: No refund will be issued.
No-Show Policy
If you fail to pick up the vehicle and do not cancel your reservation as per the above guidelines, no refund will be issued.
Reservation Modifications
You can modify your booking (dates, times, vehicle type) up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, subject to availability. Price differences may apply based on the changes.
Special Cases
In the event of force majeure, such as flight cancellations or serious medical emergencies, please contact us as soon as possible. Documentation may be required to assess your case.
